Christopher Michael Maloney is a former call centre operative from Liverpool, who shot to fame on the hit TV show The X Factor UK with his audition of The Rose, which has had over 38 MILLION YouTube hits since. Although he struggled with his nerves, but managed to battle through to win the final spot in the live TV shows.
Gaining support from celebrities such as Gary Barlow, Bette Midler, Jane McDonald, Lionel Ritchie and even Nancy Sinatra, Chris advanced on the public vote nine times being the highest voting Finalist EVER in the HISTORY of UK X Factor before finishing as third runner up at the X Factor Final 2012. In January 2013 Chris began rehearsals for the X Factor UK arena tour then throughout 2013 Chris delighted audiences supporting Jane McDonald on her UK tour. Chris has also been performing live at many festivals, theatre shows, prides and many Charity Events.
Chris signed his first record deal with Tristar Records in April 2013 and filmed his first music video that August. He released his 1st debut single My Heart Belongs To You in October 2013 which became No1 across UK USA and Australian Singles Download Charts which embarked Chris on a 3 week regional & national UK radio tour.
In December 2013 Chris landed leading role Prince Valiant in Sleeping Beauty at The King’s Theatre alongside Daniella Westbrook and Lynne Mcgrainger, perfoming 48 shows in 3 weeks to 38,000 people, by Christmas 2014 playing the lead role as Prince Charming in Cinderella.
In 2015 Chris Chris has been touring the UK & Europe with his own show and has just finished playing Captain Hook in the UK tour of Peter Pan the musical a role he will reprise again in the pantomime production of Peter Pan at The Grange Theatre Northwich starring alongside Big Brother legend Nikki Grahame.
